About

Professionally*

I’m a graduate of the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) and a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC). I am also a Certified Positive Intelligence™ Mental Fitness Coach (CPQC). I have my Professional Certified Coach credential (PCC) from the International Coach Federation (ICF) and am honored to have been on the ICFLA (Los Angeles) board as their Community Outreach Director from 2011-2013. I am also an organizational brokered coach for The Coaches Training Institute. I have my BA in English literature from San Francisco State University.

As your Coach, I help you identify what you want, WHY you want it, and what you’re going to do about it, creating effective structures of accountability and producing powerful results. And, I do it with laser precision while injecting plenty of humor and fun along the way. Working with me is saying YES to living into the future that you WANT to be creating and saying no to wishing, waiting, and hoping!

Personally

There is so much that I’m passionate about – I have bicycled throughout Europe and backpacked for months at a time in Mexico and Southeast Asia where I was continuously in awe of how profoundly simple and beautiful life is for so many. As well, I find the same opportunities for adventure and synchronicity wherever I reside, whether in bustling New York City, sunny and creative Los Angeles, or fun and bohemian San Francisco and Portland – every day feels like an exciting journey and I am always reminded of how important it is to stay “awake” because I don’t want to miss any of it.

When I am not coaching, I spend my time taking improv comedy and acting classes, seeing live music, singing Karaoke, going on Buddhist meditation and writing retreats, bicycling, dancing, hiking, playing guitar. I’m also a happy vegan and outspoken animal rights advocate.

As the former director of OUTdancing (2002 – 2007), NYC’s premiere LGBT latin, ballroom, and swing dance program at Stepping Out Studios in Manhattan, I spent countless hours each week engaging in one of my passions for many years: DANCE!!

I currently live in Portland, OR with my furkid, Rocco, a chiweenie rescue who is also a regular at assisted living centers for the elderly. And my cat, Sky.

*Additional professional-related background:
Having spent many years in career and workforce development, employment and training management, staffing and recruitment, and human resources – both in New York and San Francisco – with such organizations as the New York Software Industry Association, MBA Info Tech, the Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Management Group, and The ARC-SF, I have had the unique opportunity to coach and train scores of working professionals in the midst of career transitions; challenging and supporting them to do and become more than they thought possible. I have developed and conducted workshops on career coaching and other various career-building and career-related issues at NYU (New York University) and CUNY (City University of New York) – both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. In 2012, I designed and facilitated 10 career coaching webinars for Goodwill Industries’ “Good Prospects” employment and career assistance program.
